In June 1998, Casa Hogar Nacer relocated to a church campground an hour from Santa Cruz, thanks to the support of the Baptist denomination. This move allowed the home to accommodate 10 boys, offering them a temporary refuge.
However, challenges arose as the campground was frequently rented out to larger groups. Each time this happened, the boys were forced to leave and make do with makeshift arrangements under tarps until the campground became available again. This instability conveyed a troubling message to the boys: they were not a priority.
Recognizing the need for a permanent and secure environment, Casa Hogar Nacer aims to provide the boys with a stable home where they can thrive without the fear of displacement. The organization is dedicated to ensuring that every child feels valued and has a place they can truly call home.
