In the 2010 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Vocalists Competition , a young lady scarcely into her 20s apparently appeared suddenly to take beat respects. In 2013, that same youthful artist, at 23, discharged an exceptional recording for Mack Avenue Records, relevantly titled Woman Child and soon assigned for a Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album. In late 2013 she visited with Wynton Marsalis and Jazz at Lincoln Center.
